TINNY Posted December 7, 2004 Report Posted December 7, 2004 What's the best p2p software available now? I see that there's all sorts of them. There's the warezp2p, kazaa, morpheus, imesh. Then there's edonkey and emule. Not to forget Bittorrent. And BTW, I can't get my bittorent to work. I use ABC client -it doesn't do anything when I click a .torrent file. Quote
alexander Posted December 7, 2004 Report Posted December 7, 2004 have you checked out mldonkey?here's the link: http://mldonkey.org/ Quote
sundog Posted December 7, 2004 Report Posted December 7, 2004 I prefer winmxSame here. One thing to be aware of using p2p programs is the Adware/Spyware that many of them contain. There are two p2p progs that I know that don't contain any adware/spyware: "WinMX" and "Kazaa Lite". sundog Quote
TINNY Posted December 8, 2004 Author Report Posted December 8, 2004 Hm. Haven't heard of winMX. Gotta check it out.CAn anyone help out with the BItTOrrent? Quote
TINNY Posted December 17, 2004 Author Report Posted December 17, 2004 can anyone help with the connection settings for winMX? i can't seem to download anything. btw, the computer is behind a dsl router. is that the cause? am i behind any firewalls? how can I know. I also notice that no p2p software i've used has worked. Quote
Tormod Posted December 17, 2004 Report Posted December 17, 2004 Well...if NO software has ever worked then there must be a firewall problem. Maybe your ISP is blocking P2P traffic. Quote
TINNY Posted December 17, 2004 Author Report Posted December 17, 2004 so what's the solution. but i'm sure it can't be the ISP blocking traiifc coz many others use the same. Quote
