Picksix Posted December 8, 2006 Report Posted December 8, 2006 HelloI'm here because I just read "The Final Theory" by Marc McCutcheon and I'm interested in what others think of his theory and ideas. I don't work in the physics or space travel industry but I am a civil engineer and so I have have a pretty good understanding of statics and mechanics, and, I have a great deal on interest in these types of topics. I really think that McCutcheon's theory seems to make sense. Quote
InfiniteNow Posted December 8, 2006 Report Posted December 8, 2006 Hello Picksix, Welcome to Hypography. Get a cup of coffee and check out the following: http://hypography.com/forums/books-movies-games/797-final-theory.html It's really long, and covers a lot, but it really is worth the read (people's ideas, how things have been tested, etc.) Enjoy. :naughty: Quote
Buffy Posted December 8, 2006 Report Posted December 8, 2006 Welcome Pick!I really think that McCutcheon's theory seems to make sense. Please do take time to read that thread that InfiniteNow mentioned in detail, as its got most of the arguments for and against Mr. McCutcheon's different worldview. To let you know we're open minded, its still in the "Books" forum rather than "Strange Claims," but its interesting to note that its advocates are non-physicists, and of course the physicists who refute it are all called "dogmatic," so we've even thought of moving it to Theology... :naughty: You'll learn much about the various approaches to argumentation in that thread too! There's lots of other interesting stuff to look at and play with here though! Welcome to our little toy store of science! Expanding at increasing accelleration,Buffy Quote
