Extracting audio from cd's

How do I just extract the audio from vcd's and dvd's and convert them into wma or mp3?

What you need to do that is a program called ripper. I found a link for you, it has a bunch of rippers to choose from, so take your pick

hang on, I only wanted a video-to-audio converter so that I just get the sound from the vcd's and dvd's.

there are quiet a few, i'm sure that if you go to google and search for it you'll find one for free too. There were links to quiet a few of those programs from some of the links i posted to you in video streaming, i'd check them out, not sure whether there were free ones, but there were quiet a few so chances are...

QuickTime is a very good piece of software, the only thing that i can think of better is MPlayer, the possibilities are endless, just the manual explaining all the command-line options for it is like 50 pages long... (if you want to, i can attatch it) But Mplayer combined with knowing some bash is the way to go.

If anybody need to extract mp3 from avi, asf, wmv I can advise to use Video mp3 Extractor PRO . It can convert a lot of video file to mp3 in one click!Try it. :shrug:
