davidgmills Posted December 12, 2006 Report Posted December 12, 2006 I came here because somehow I found out about the terra preta forum here. Probably googled something that sent me to this forum. I am very interested in alternative fuels, biomass, global warming, etc. I am not even sure now how I first found out about terra preta but upon learning about it, I have become interested in gardening once again. I have charcoaled my garden now with commercial briquettes and am making my own charcoal to add to the garden to improve charcoal quality. I have gotten pretty good at making charcoal. It is much easier than it appears. I have even designed a combination charcoal maker, barbecue pit but have yet to build one. Am anxious to see how the garden turns out next spring. Quote
InfiniteNow Posted December 12, 2006 Report Posted December 12, 2006 Hello DGM, Welcome to Hypography. If you familiarize yourself with the search feature that is specific to the site (look toward to the top of the page in the dark blue bar for "Search") you will likely find many topics of interest, including our very extensive Terra Preta thread. Pour yourself a hot cocoa, grab a blacket, and sift through it's contents. Then, when you've passed out from exhaustion, replace the cocoa with coffee and try again. :) Enjoy. :) Quote
