houserichichi Posted December 14, 2006 Report Posted December 14, 2006 Hi everyone, I'm a mathematician by trade and a physicist at heart. I found this site through ArKain101 (who has no idea who I am) when he posted on another site. I said to myself, "self, this guy sounds interesting. Look him up" and here I am. I'm a strict atheist and am open to any sorts of debate, argument, or discussion on all sorts of philosophical, religious, political, scientific, and mathematical topics. Frankly, I spend too much time on these sorts of things but it's difficult to find other people who are interested in the same esoteric topics as yourself, don't you think? I don't have much background in biology or chemistry (avoided them like the plague in university and high school) but I make an extra effort to look things up before I jump into a discussion...so for the most part I might keep relatively quiet unless I'm absolutely certain of something. I have unending faith in the possibilities of science and the scientific thought and process. I just wish I had more time to learn everything I want to learn, but that's life for you, I suppose. Look forward to reading through the site and hopefully learning, teaching, and discussing interesting topics with everyone! Quote
Turtle Posted December 14, 2006 Report Posted December 14, 2006 That Arkain is a caution! Secular blessings on him. :) Welcome aboard. :) :hyper: Quote
pgrmdave Posted December 14, 2006 Report Posted December 14, 2006 You might want to check out Turtle's Katabatak thread - it's rather interesting in its mathematical musings. Turtle 1 Quote
Buffy Posted December 14, 2006 Report Posted December 14, 2006 Interest in any area of science is all you need around here. You don't need to know them all! Welcome to Hypography! What a crazy sound, :)Buffy Quote
