Well, I see a couple potential issues with your proposition.

- People on social security have a source of income, and generally will not wish to work

- People on social security tend to be older, and older generations tend to be less capable and comfortable of technology, especially games.

- There is a large supply of game testers and a low demand (i.e. there are plenty of folks out there doing it already... the market is saturated)

- Collectors of social security will receive reduced benefits if thehy are working or collecting income.

Well I have friend that is aspiring to be a game tester he is 20 and has played games his entire life. How bout that? Oh by the way I hear that game testers are needed and according to George Bush unemployment is down. Oh that means jobs are taken. However, what can we do with the 20% below poverty level. or upper class poverty. I have a dollar left for the rest of the month and a bag of potatoes in the fridge how would you like to live like that?Oh by the way I don't know if I'll be able to feed my family for Christmas. Commenting on posts is the whole point of a forum, and the search for comments on your ideas is the main reason people post here.

If you don't want replies, you're looking for a pulpit, not Hypo.

Hi Ryan. :cup: First, here is some initial reading on John Nash, who in spite of being diagnosed with schizophrenia, hearing voices, and seeing people who weren't there, managed to rise to an inspiring level of achievment. He is also portrayed in the movie A Brilliant Mind. There is hope. :)

Now to the social security. They do allow you to work a certain amount without loosing the support altogether, but you must report your earnings and your check is reduced by some amount contingent on your earnings.

Depending on what state you live in, the State Social Services may pay your medicare premium as well as provide you with foodstamps.

Your local utility companies may have programs to help pay your utility bills, however you must apply.

Your town may have a food program of some kind along the lines of Loaves & Fishes, particularly during the holidays. If you can't get out to them, your neighbor may be able to help secure food from these helpers in your behalf.

You may find writing a list or lists of these options down so as to keep them in memory, communicate them to others, and break them into manageable pieces.

I hope some of this is new and/or helpful. Hang in there. :0176:

My Mother and my daughters mother don't see eye to eye so my mom didn't want her at Christmas. I asked my mom for a chicken for Christmas they are farmers and I don't feel comfortable asking for food stamps and the community won't hire me. I was educated at a private college and there is a place for the mentally retarded to work in recycling I studied psychology. Would you work there if you were me recycling cans. They don't hire anyone unless you are mentally retarded.

No work is beneath a hungry man. Besides, it might put some pennies in your pocket so that you can use it as a temporary stepping stone to climb to the next level.

Like they say of the projects: Move in, move up, move out.

An individual is not an island unto oneself. We are all living in this world as one community despite our differences. You can no more exploit the community in meeting your needs than you can exploit yourself.

There is food, so eat. There is water, so drink. There is information, so learn. There is conversation, so communicate.

If it were not for my own poor status, I would gladly contribute whatever I may to those in need. I am sure any good samaritan will do likewise.

You can not steal that which is given. So take of the fruit of life, and the compassion of your fellows. It is our job to hold one another up, and to walk proud through life. Do with what you have, and always keep an eye towards the future. Your options are many and only isolation can pull you down.

Listen very closely JFK is real. So are his family. All the controversy surrounding his death are unwarranted he loved his family. And they knew him better than you and I. Regardless of my story whether how scrambled it is or not the hospital is in honor of Abraham Lincoln and his wife. John F. Kennedy and his brother Robert and because I feel bad about hearing and seeing things and how it has affected their family. The country needs therapy as well because the controversy must end and healing of minds must begin. This is the best way to do it. I have to mention Joseph Sr., Joseph Jr., John, John Jr., Jackie, Carol, Ted, Patrick, Emily, Rose and Robert Jr. and all those not known by me Oh yeah George Bush the Bush family, Tom Harkin, Senator Wellstone, John Kerry, Tom Vilsack, All Legislatures from 1996-2007 The Country darn it. Johnson and his Family, Teddy and Eleanor Roosevelt. Eisenhower and Family. Hoover and Family you name it it's there. You want to get people involved 26 Presidential Families are related so what do you do will they accept the honor lift the dam curse and move forward so we can heal and get healed? and How about Joan of Arc. Patrick Garfield and the other President I do not know who was...We'd have :cup: :)

Ryan2006, I really don't understand your last post and its relevance to the topic of the thread. :cup:

It's not relevant, it's completely off topic and it's even by the OP whom should know better than anyone the thread topic. What a waste of bandwidth....
