gribbon Posted January 3, 2007 Report Posted January 3, 2007 I had a big argument with someone on another forum (which I have now been banned from) about this, and I think we covered just about everything....see what you think in the following link... It was a right pain getting hold of them, seeing as I can no longer view the pages...I had to ask a friend to save them, and then send them as attachments, which failed half the time... Do tell me if they don't work.... Links removed by Tormod Quote
Farsight Posted January 3, 2007 Report Posted January 3, 2007 I'm in favour of nuclear power. I get rather irritated with the way people decry it like some evil monster. Yes there are risks, but one has to quantify them and compare with the benefits and alternatives. I have connections here: Health Protection Agency | Radiation Protection Division Quote
gribbon Posted January 3, 2007 Author Report Posted January 3, 2007 I'm in favour of it as well...except for I'm violently opposed to anyone who decries it and will not listen to what I say to them, should they be in need of convincing. Quote

sanctus Posted January 10, 2007 Report Posted January 10, 2007 I agree it's "wrong" to fear the nuclear power plants, I believe that our tecnologynowadays is good enough to minimize the risks. BUT I'm still agianst it for the problem of the storage of the radioactive waste products. Now fxzeu you say one should look up the alternatives, it depends on how much enrgy every individual uses, if there is a better awareness spread among the population all the alternatives become makable...
