chilehed Posted January 22, 2007 Report Posted January 22, 2007 Any of you that have kids know how what a mother eats can affect her breast milk. My son was very sensitive to it, so my wife had to lay off of onions and any cole vegetable or else the poor guy woul get the worst colic. Chocolate would do it too, but for Valentines day I made her a fancy dinner at home, and with desert I had gotten some really good chocolate. She ate two pieces, and sure enough he got colicky and we were up a number of times that night. But the REALLY wierd thing was, in the morning I noticed that he smelled like chocolate! It was easily perceptible within about a foot of him. I thought I was nuts but my wife could smell it, as well as the baby sitter later that day. She sure never smelled like chocolate, and neither did her milk - just him. Any ideas about why? Quote
steph_r Posted January 22, 2007 Report Posted January 22, 2007 How very unusual. It's not even as though chocolate has a particularly strong smell, so I do find that strange.I don't have a clue on this one, so I will sit and eagarly await an answer to why this happens. =) Quote
