eric has said it before. Really, the best Belgian breweries do not export. Also, there is some sort of problem with larger companies acquiring all of the good smaller ones, hence homogenizing all beers and eliminating variance... a bad thing. That, however, is not the point of this thread, but THIS ONE. :)

Do not all of the beverages listed begin with water? If so, water is the ONLY choice that makes sense, and we'd have to ask "adjusted water" vs. "plain water." ;)

For me, probably green tea then followed by coffee...but it varies depending on how I feel. I'm brewing coffee in my moka pot just about every day now. So good. Mmm. I also drink fruit juices and some wine at night with dinner.

i try not to drink too much coffee as i have inherited an addictive personality form my dad and i dont want to get dependant on caffine. i drink mostly fruit cordial really cos it's cheaper than proper juice and i'm a student so i have to save as much money as possible. apparently tea with no sugar is good for your arteries so i force some of that down every now and then too.

Chacmool, rooibos is good stuff. The taste reminds me of this Asian drink/dessert called "grass jelly," so I find it quite pleasant.

Becca, tea should be a pleasure to drink, never a chore or unpleasant experience. :D A lot of teas are bitter--I suggest avoiding those since they are of poorer quality--but if you ever go into an Asian food shop, you should be able to find many good teas for cheap. Better ones generally come from China and Japan, although I find many Chinese teas are bitter. If buying Chinese, try to get good jasmine or white teas, as these should be less or not bitter at all and smell good. Good tea should leave a slightly sweet aftertaste in your mouth and make you feel warm, peaceful, and alert.

In my time water was and still is very essential especially when laboring out in the fields. Coffee can with a meal when there was Coffee or with a sweet pastry treat. Ices cold Sweeten Peach Tea was for enjoyment, sitting under a shaded area on a hot sunny day and boy summers do get pretty hot in South Texas. :cup:

soda pop? You mean coke, right?

Or Dr Pepper (the only two kinds of soda).

 Yes, that's what I mean. I had a tough time phrasing that too, as it varies so widely geographically. :warped: I shoulda just put 7-Up. :eek_big: :eek_big:

If you don't like plain tea, you've never had Oolong. 'Tis my favorite.

Don't eat or drink 2 hours before you go to bed. You won't get up and your body will have less digesting to focus on.

It depends. Tuesday to Saturday (my working week) it's water (with some dilute {cordial for Aussie's or Americans}) followed by coffee. Saturday evening to Sunday night its beer by a HUGE margin.
