jackson33 Posted January 25, 2007 Report Posted January 25, 2007 one of my most interesting experiences was driving a big truck into "the cave warehouses", in Kansas City Missouri. this is a massive complex of underground warehouse with its own everything. this may not be what your looking for but came to mind when i read your post.... eric l Posted January 25, 2007 Report Posted January 25, 2007 I was thinking of two bridges in France, relatively close to each other (about 30 km ?). The Pont de Tancarville is a suspension bridgeThe Pont de Normandie is a cable stayed bridge.I was told that one of the reasons for this difference was that the cables for the Tancarville Bridge could be anchored in solid rock, while the Normandy Bridge is an an area with mainly mud flats.
