I was thinking of two bridges in France, relatively close to each other (about 30 km ?).

The Pont de Tancarville is a suspension bridge

The Pont de Normandie is a cable stayed bridge.

I was told that one of the reasons for this difference was that the cables for the Tancarville Bridge could be anchored in solid rock, while the Normandy Bridge is an an area with mainly mud flats.

Nice informations, maybe I can use it. I'll try to find some data about it,if i have some doubts I post it here.Jackson,do you have some picture of that warehouse complex in Kansas?

Thanks a lot for your contributions:)

no sir, haven't even thought about this in years. suggest you can find either through a google or yhoo seach...KC Mo., then underground warehouse or the caves. may be somewhat insulated today since access is limited and may be heavily protected. however is worth the time to check out....
