Science a boon or bane in war ?

We all agree that science is advancing. But is this advancmet a boon or a bane in the turf of war.? But you may say that this view can be different for different people

 

first there were stone instruments then clubs then swords then catapults then guns then tanks and if we go on and on we could be even able to perfect robots that can actually go into war and who knows what's next ? could it be cyborgs? or full fledged nuclear retaliation ? so does by the advancement of science bring us closer to midnight or will it obliterate the doomsday clock(Doomsday Clock) - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
