Found Hypography while refreshing my Terra Preta research. Yours is a very good thread.

 

But not a single post in any thread on glomalin? (Seems to explain a lot of terra preta properties.) You must get out more. Try here as a starter:

Glomalin is very important as you say.

It is very new (10 years or so?)

There is a link in the latest Terra preta post.

 

I will post more shortly, although a google search will give you lots of links :)
